.be my forever.

Once upon a time in a far away kingdom…  Nah, too obvious and let’s be honest, Cardiff is not exactly a magic dragons, castles and princess place. Well, I guess we do have a castle. Sadly our story is not so interesting to be perfectly honest. We wish we could tell you an epic romance story but it really isn’t how it happened but that doesn’t mean that in the end it won’t be (too cheesy even for us?).

‘Our story from Montse’s eyes’

We met just over two years ago when Jac started working at the same place as me. Nothing happened for the first few months. We got on straight away but Jac was in a serious relationship so I could not see him in any other way other than a friend and by September he was gone to Worcester for his second year of university.

However when he came back to work during his Christmas break he was single and somehow we ended up being best friends in just about a month. We realized how much we liked each other only a few days before Jac was due to go back to Uni.

We could say that the first year of our relationship was pretty much long-distance. We’d see each other about once a month but not a single day went by that we didn’t speak for hours on the phone. It sucked, but it did make us a very strong couple in my eyes. Jac’s last year in Uni wasn’t as bad as we managed to see each other pretty much every week.

Now he’s all done with Uni (SO PROUD OF HIM!) and back in Cardiff for good! We’re moving in together in less than a month, we’re about to go on the trip of our lives and I just could not be more excited about all the things there are to come!

(We will keep you updated!)

‘Our story from Jac’s eyes’

She had my attention straight away. I love a person with a story to tell and she was exactly that. Her tattoos and bright red lips stuck in my mind from day one.
When the time came for me to return to the bar that she/we worked in (This time single) I was filled with excitement at the opportunity to speak to her properly. I tried to work as near to her as possible and we eventually got into a conversation about attending a festival together. At this point I was ecstatic knowing I had the chance to go somewhere where we could be together.
Over the next few months we talked to the point where we knew everything about each other though because I had to return to university I didn’t want to start a relationship under fear it wouldn’t last. Unfortunately/Very Fortunately I kissed her the day before I left for university…
A year on and we were still together in the midst of a long distance relationship. We spoke every night just to see how the others day had been and even if nothing had happened we would talk about our future.
It’s now got to the point, a year and a half after we met, that our future has begun and we can finally enjoy our lives together. We have a lot of exciting things lined up and I’m sure Montse will make me tell all!
This is the non-cheesy version of my account of meeting the girl of my dreams! It may not seem like the most romantic story but it is our story.
